Remedy 03:41
Dancing in place and I'm dancing alone Limited space but there's still room to grow Dancing in place where nobody can see No judge, no witness, no one to impress but me I'm gonna move for my own sake It's my remedy I'm gonna move make no mistake I'm gonna move my body I'm gonna move I'm gonna move my body Dancing in place and I'm dancing alone Limited space it's a one woman zone Dancing in place it's instinctual need Natural desire erupts like a fire in me And I sway And I know It was meant to be this way I'm meant to dance alone I'm gonna move for my own sake It's my remedy I'm gonna move make no mistake I'm gonna move my body I'm gonna move for my own sake It's my remedy I'm gonna move make no mistake I wanna feel my body I'm gonna move my body I'm gonna move I'm gonna move my body And I sway And I know It was meant to be this way I'm meant to dance alone I'm gonna move for my own sake It's my remedy I'm gonna move make no mistake I'm gonna move my body (And I sway) I'm gonna move for my own sake It's my remedy (And I know) I'm gonna move make no mistake I wanna feel my body I'm gonna move my body I'm gonna move I'm gonna move my body

Saboteur 03:36
Go running Heart thumping Mind wanting Distraction from you Go running Blood pumping Head flooding With memories of you I try to occupy myself I know it's better for my health Sometimes I falter and I Find my feet right outside your door Each time I try to catch my breath You pull me closer to your chest And I resist a little less But I got a message from the stars You're not the man you say you are I got a message from the stars You're only here to sabotage I'm learning It's slow burning When I'm yearning To satisfy you Dual pleasures Safe measures You'll satisfy my body too I try to occupy myself I know it's better for my health Often I falter and I'm suddenly inside your embrace Each time I try to catch my breath I die another little death Bring me to life a girl possessed But I got a message from the stars You're not the man you say you are I got a message from the stars You're only here to sabotage Keep testing my resolve to stay away from you Keep sending me to places that I never knew Keep tempting me in spite of what I know is true There's no hope for me and you But that won't change what I'm gonna do

about

ellaments began as a lockdown project while learning about analog & digital synthesis, and learning to use Ableton for recording and production. At first I made music for specific prompts; a friend's collaborative art project, a Moog & Barbican competition, a podcast that needed an intro and outro. Then finally I began to make music for myself.

Some songs made it online in a very rough form, backed by a vow to be tidied up and "released properly" later, when they were polished and perfect, and generally less embarrassing. Then in March 2023, after waking up unnaturally early and unnaturally wired I decided it’s about damn time I let go of these songs - somewhat polished, the perfection never attained - and just share them with whoever wants to listen.

So here we are, with double A-side Remedy | Saboteur.
